Legacy Art Management is owned and operated by Allison Hull, a fine art specialist with over twenty-five years working in the art worlds of New Orleans, New York, and Charleston. Her professional path in fine art started by chance while studying Art History and Printmaking at Louisiana State University. Taking on a student job in the archives department of LSU's special collections library, Allison took to the historic preservation and organization protocols of archiving. Upon graduation, she directed her attention to New Orleans and its amazing culture and history through archiving work with the Historic New Orleans Collection, cemetery preservation and the Edgar Degas Foundation. |
In 2000, Allison found her way to the mecca of the art world – New York City. There she navigated her path from historical archiving to fine art archiving and collection management. Her New York career included working directly with prominent artists and collectors, including the French Nouveau Realiste artist Arman (Fernandez), art collector and photographer Jean Pigozzi, as well as working with dozens of galleries, collector, museums and non-profit art institutions through her role as archivist and logistics specialist for both Crozier Fine Art and Christie’s Auction House and Fine Art Services companies.
She relocated to Charleston with her husband in 2013 where she took on a new layer of her art career – fine art, luxury sales. Working nine years as the Gallery Director for Hagan Fine Art, Allison worked closely with gallery owner Karen Hewitt Hagan to develop her vision of becoming one of the top fine art galleries in Charleston.
Now, Allison is taking her next step – combining her passion of art history with her knowledge and expertise from her experience. Working as an independent consultant Allison provides the one-on-one support to artists to help them build their vision and the success of their fine art business and the legacy of their name in art history.
In November, 2022, Allison announced her partnership with Contemporary Post-Impressionist artist, Alice Williams.
